we know, wellness spaces can be intimidating —

the nurture collective (tnc) was founded in detroit, michigan in february 2022 with the intention to create a new kind of wellness experience — one that centers both community and accessibility.

our offerings focus on restorative practices that invite you to slow down and come home to your body in meaningful, sustainable ways. our classes are designed to feel warm, welcoming, playful, and supportive for all levels — no prior experience needed.

we offer a regular schedule that features meditation, movement, and breathwork, alongside a rotating calendar of workshops and gatherings that explore creativity, connection, and care.

at the heart of our space is the belief that well-being should be accessible to all — all bodies, all identities, all budgets. that’s why all our classes are, and always will be, pay-what-you-can.

as stewards of ancient healing practices, we move with humility and respect, honoring the origins of these traditions and the communities that have carried them forward.

  • the name "nurture collective" embodies our commitment to creating a space where growth, care, and community are at the forefront.

"nurture" speaks to our belief in the power of tending to oneself and others with intention and compassion, creating a supportive environment for healing and transformation. "collective" emphasizes our dedication to bringing people together, recognizing that true well-being is nurtured through shared experiences and connections.

together, these words reflect our mission to cultivate a community that values holistic well-being, grounded in the wisdom of ancient practices and the strength of collective support.

  • all weekly classes are offered as pay-what-you're-able with a suggested cost. our prices reflect the cost of running a small business in detroit while fairly compensating our teachers and centering accessibility for our offerings. we rely on the honor system and communal support to keep our offerings available and accessible.

  • during the spring and summer, we gather outdoors at various locations around the city, allowing nature to be an integral part of our practice.

as the seasons change, our gatherings transition to a blend of online sessions and select indoor locations, ensuring we remain connected and grounded throughout the year.

while we continue to search for a permanent home, these diverse spaces allow us to experience the richness of our environment and community in unique and meaningful ways.

we believe food should be both nourishing and purposeful. we aim to inspire you to eat locally, seasonally, and regularly to support your well-being.
