sitali breath is a cooling and calming practice designed to refresh the body and soothe the mind. by drawing in cool air through a rolled tongue or pursed lips, this breath technique helps reduce internal heat and quiet the mind, promoting a state of relaxation and balance.

in this session, you’ll learn the art of sitali breathing—a powerful method to cool down and de-stress. we will guide you through the technique of inhaling through a curled tongue or pursed lips, allowing cool air to flow over your palate. this breath work helps alleviate anxiety, lowers body temperature, and balances internal heat, making it an ideal practice for hot days or after intense physical activity. the practice concludes with a calming meditation to integrate the cooling effects into your body and mind.

for lovers of: cool breezes, iced herbal tea, and the feeling of a shaded garden on a summer day.

please note: this class includes an active breathwork practice. active breathwork should not be practiced by individuals who are currently pregnant or have a history of severe asthma, epilepsy, high blood pressure, or heart and lung complications.

some things to know

〰️ doors typically open 10 minutes before class time; we cannot accommodate late arrivals, so please arrive a few minutes early to get settled in. 

〰️ these are BYO-yoga mat!! please contact us in advance if you are in need of a mat so we can bring the appropriate amount of extra

〰️ all parking is street parking! there's typically spots on the block surrounding, but give yourself enough time to do a lap or two, just in case.

〰️ if you need to cancel, feel free to do so through email -- as long as it's 6 hours before class start time, a credit will be issued back to you.
